Sunburst EMS is improving process efficiency, cutting costs, and improving quality by working in conjunction with Raytheon Corp.’s “Six Sigma with Suppliers” program. This program is the company’s knowledge-based business strategy for transforming their culture in order to maximize customer value and grow the business. Sunburst EMS became involved with the program at the invitation of Raytheon. The program works to assist key suppliers in becoming better partners through continuous improvement, and working together to learn how to cut costs and lead times, and to improve quality.

[box style=”quote”]“We can apply what we’ve learned here to our relationships with our other customers as well, to improve processes throughout our factory. Our facility and Raytheon are also working together with Raytheon’s Lean / Agile initiative, and adaptation of GM’s and Toyota’s competitive manufacturing principles. The Agile initiative is a seven phase systematic approach to improving quality, cost savings, responsiveness, and customer satisfaction through the elimination of waste and the total involvement of our people.”[/box]
